I purchased a pair of these. They do the job. Would have been helpful directions for installation were better. They do well for the price paid and shipped fast.

At $14, I thought I give it try. Used to have to use a vise grip to keep the 1998 Maxima hood open. Took about 20 minutes to figure out how to remove the old ones and got these babies on in about 5 minutes. Works flawlessly and less than half of what the cost at Checker and 10% of Nissan OEM.

I’m well pleased with this purchase. It cost less than the same item from a local retailer. It installed easily and fit perfectly.

These seem like good lifts. The spring clip is a little tricky to withdrawl in order to get the end onto the ball. One clip ended up coming out of the lift and I lost it. So go easy prying the spring back, just enough to clear the ball, then push the spring back in. The instructions covered several variants of the products that mount differently than on my Maxima- so that was confusing.
