My only complaint is how easily they deform when fitting them in, a lot worse than the OEM’s I replaced. All seems to fit ok though so I can’t deduct too many points, especially at the price. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy these again when the time comes.

This TYC Cabin Air Filter for Nissan Pathfinder (2005-2008) seems to be an adequate substitute for the OEM filter, and considerably cheaper. A set of two (required) was only $16.99. However, it apparently is made slightly wider than necessary, and therefore is a royal pain to fit into the filter cavity in the AC system.
The first filter slides in pretty easily. Once in, it must be slid to the right beyond the cavity opening in order to insert the second filter . . . far easier said than done due to its slightly oversized dimensions. The filter must be mashed a bit, which deforms its edges. I suspect that creates air flow gaps between the two filters. I say “suspect,” because once the filters are inserted, they can’t be seen. The OEM filters I removed were somewhat deformed as well, so perhaps this isn’t a relevant issue.
My only other concern is that, compared to the OEM filter, this one appears to have 20-30% fewer pleats. Although that likely permits freer air flow, it also probably filters less effectively.
